Web Hunts -The Oregon Trail
Grades 4 & 5

Explore the history of the great Westward Migration while answering questions based on a web site devoted to the Oregon Trail from its beginning to its end. Each web hunt is in the form of a self correcting multiple choice test with a reading source link for each question. The questions are shuffled each time the test is loaded to keep it interesting. You will be scored as you go.

After you finish some of the web quests, go over to Activities and try the Jigsaw Puzzle based on the 1869 painting by Albert Bierstadt called "The Oregon Trail", or a photo puzzle of a real emigrant wagon from the Library of Congress, or try the Crossword Puzzle. There is a writing activity called "One Photograph - Many Words".
